Lastest Hat Project
I've always wanted to knit a hat with ear flaps.... there's so many patterns and traditional types I guess I couldn't decide. When I spun up this hand painted Targhee yarn I decided to use it for a special project that I would keep for myself. After searching the web for a while I found this great free pattern. I did have to knit it up twice, but it was quickly done on size 10 circular needles and I added a crochet edge. Thought about other embellishments but I love the fiber so much I decided against it.
This year at the NH Sheep and Wool there will be a display for lace work and, believe it or not, hats. This hat, I call Emelia, just may have to go.

I don't believe so. The NH Show usually sets up a space for many folks to display so they have to go with clothes lines....or something like. I set this display up for drying after I'd hand washed it and for taking pictures.
